All Vehicles Need A Four-Wheel Alignment.

A battery will not explode

THIS IS NOT TRUE!
- There two types of battery explosions external and internal.
- The most probable cause is from a combination of low electrolyte levels in the battery and a low resistance bridge formed between or across the top of the plates called "treeing" between a positive and negative plate.
- A second possible cause is a defect in the weld of one of the plate connecting straps.

When Replacing Only Two Tires, The New Ones Go On The Front.

Uneven Wear On A Tire Means Tire Is Defective.

THIS IS NOT TRUE!
- Improper inflation pressure for the load being carried, lack of rotation at recommended intervals and mechanical conditions like worn or damaged suspension parts and poor wheel alignment indicate uneven wear on a tire
- In rare instances, it can indicate a problem within the tire structure. In all cases, it should be examined by an authorized tire service person so that the cause can be corrected.

All Vehicles Need A Four-Wheel Alignment.

All vehicles need a four-wheel alignment.

THIS IS NOT TRUE!
- All four wheels should be checked for alignment, but many vehicles will not require an adjustment in the rear.
- In this case the front is merely referenced to the rear, providing the same benefit at a lower cost.

My Tire Just Blew Out For No Reason; It Must Be Defective.

My tire just blew out for no reason; it must be defective.

THIS IS NOT TRUE!
- In most circumstances, the source of air loss is something cutting, puncturing or bursting the tread or sidewall of a tire.
- Blow outs also happen because people don't check for damage and drive on tires with huge egg like growths on the tire walls and cuts so deep in them you can see the ply structure underneath.
- Overheated under inflated tires can also be one of the reasons.

If The Brake Fluid Is Low, Filling It Will Fix The Problem.

If the brake fluid is low, filling it will fix the problem.

THIS IS NOT TRUE!

- Brake fluid isn't like most other fluids in your car, it doesn't get used up as you drive and is intended to increase the hydraulic pressure of your brakes.
- Having low brake fluid usually means one of two things--either the brake pads/shoes are very low or there's a leak in the system.
- Either way the car needs maintenance, and filling the brake fluid back up will do relatively little good.

When Replacing Only Two Tires, The New Ones Go On The Front.

When replacing only two tires, the new ones go

THIS IS NOT TRUE!

- Retreaded tires can be used on steer axles, EXCEPT on passenger buses.

- In some applications, retreaded tires are a substantial cost- and energy-saving

- Alternative to new tire steer tires without any loss of performance or safety.
